Today, more than 99% of the world's diamonds are derived from conflict free sources and are officially traded under the UN mandated Kimberly Process. All diamonds sold by JEWELS FOr HUMANITY™ have been purchased from legitimate and reputable sources. JEWELS For HUMANITY™ and its affiliates guarantees that all diamonds offered and sold are conflict free. Through the Kimberly Process, and in an on-going effort to prevent conflict diamonds from entering into the legitimate diamond supply chain, diamonds are monitored at every point; from mining, exporting, importing and through to retail. These monitoring processes are called the Kimberly Process and System of Warranties. Our Burmese Ruby Policy
Rubies are among the world's most desirable gemstones. Unfortunately, many of the finest specimens are mined in Burma, a nation known for its atrocious human rights violations. The Burmese Freedom and Democracy Act of 2003, prohibits the importation of product from this nation. Many jewelers in the US choose to circumvent this trade act and trade Burmese gems today by citing the provision that any gems of Burmese origin imported prior to 2003, may be legally bought and sold. JEWELS For HUMANITY™ is one of the very few retail jewelers that respects the letter as well as the spirit of the 2003 Act. Therefore, we refuse to sell gemstones that we can trace as being of Burmese origin. Any rubies offered for sale by JEWELS For HUMANITY™ come certified with country of origin from a nation other than Burma.
JEWELS For HUMANITY™ is pleased to offer complimentary shipping, handling and insurance on all purchases of $2,500 or more. We ship all orders via Federal Express Overnight. A signature is required for release of delivery therefore, we ask that you ensure someone is available to sign for your package To ensure proper delivery of your order, we do not ship to P.O. Box addresses or hotels. For your protection, if you are shipping your order to an address that is different than your billing address, as a security measure to protect our clients against fraud, we will confirm with your credit card company that this alternate address is on record. To expedite order processing and for prompt delivery of your order, please call your credit card company and provide them with the alternate shipping address prior to making your purchase.
We hope and trust that you are delighted with your purchase. Be assured that each piece is cleaned and inspected for quality prior to shipping. On the rare occasion that an Item requires repair, we are pleased to offer a repair service. Upon receiving your item, our Quality Assurance Department will inspect the piece to determine the repair needed. All repairs made within our 60 day warranty period are free of charge. However, any jewellry that has been modified by a third party jeweller or shows signs of abuse or excessive signs of wear will not be covered under our free repair warranty. In the event that you have exceeded our 60 day warranty period, JEWELS For HUMANITY™ will happily repair your item. A fair repair charge will be determined upon careful inspection by our Quality Assurance Department. Prior to actual repair, the customer will be informed of the charge. Returns & Exchanges
Due to the fact that JEWELS For HUMANITY™ donates a large percentage from the proceeds of your purchase to your designated cause within 21 business days of your delivered order, we can only accept returns and exchanges for up to 14 days after your receipt of delivery. All returns and exchanges will be inspected by our Quality Assurance Department. All items available for return or exchange must be JEWELS For HUMANITY merchandise and be in its original condition, original packaging and be without signs of wear. Additionally, merchandise must be accompanied by original receipts and any certifications provided with purchase.
All items showing signs of wear or those that have been engraved, altered or resized by any jeweller other than an authorized JEWELS For HUMANITY jeweler, or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return or exchange. Additionally, any returns without an official JEWELS For HUMANITY Return Authorization Number or improperly packaged or uninsured will be refused. Your privacy is very important to us. JEWELS For HUMANITY™ respects your concerns about maintaining strict privacy. Any information that you divulge to us is kept in full confidence. Even when you choose to give us information, we keep it confidential. We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose website generated mailing lists or other personally identifiable information.
You may use this Website without having to provide us any information. However, our unique " A Little Birdie Told Me" feature and other services are available if we are able to obtain certain information from you. We may collect the following information through various means:
